focuses on the construction of a display.

Presentation in weeks 8. Individually
research into lighting, signage, and digitally fabricated exhibition
structures.
Work to wards a submission of:

Plans with elevations
-
Storyboard structure – a
sequence of perspectives, how to experience

Elevation – continuing of
information. Heights, text, continuity.

A display of objects and
artifacts. Plans take control of the detail.

Signage templates –
construction and placement, measurements.

Detail in relationship of the
placement of the objects
(A list and then physical
scale drawing, relationship between each other. Diorama).
Methods – sketch up, hand drawings, existing plans, Photoshop, and
illustrator for flat drawings.
We are focusing on an exhibition component
of Prague. Quadrennial performance, design and space.
Requirements:
Theatre interaction of display – A digital
element, screen, film?
New media – 5 to 10 screen element
projects, projectors, screens.
Embodied performance – 5 to 10 embedded
performances, people acting out, engaging.
Installation performance - 5 to 10 projects of installations, space,
duration. Objects and artifacts that can be picked up and carried out. Things
you can move.

Homework
Research the following:
Lighting – in relation to the theatre and
exhibition
Signage – in relation to exhibition events
Exhibition systems – modular, digitally
fabricated. Exhibition architecture. Spatial installation.

you.
