Our
idea development
As a group we
had three options/examples, which we were quite fond of. We haven’t yet decided
which example to run with, but could even create and exhibition that is created
through a combination of all these ideas. The ideas are a mixture of a dominant
stage/platform, which can act as a performance space. The other example we were
fond of was the balloon inflatable exhibition example, or a type of fabric that
inflates. We thought that this would add something extra, and unexpected into
the display that is quite interactive for the audience taking part in the
exhibition. Lastly our other idea was a wall, which has openings, or hidden
compartments, kind of like an advent calendar.
We presented
these three ideas to the class for feedback in today’s class and it really
helped us to start generating ideas and design arrangements with these three
components as one display. Stuart was quite happy with our direction so far, so
now it’s just the matter of developing ideas and coming up with designs and
drawings to portray our exhibition design.

(Today was my last lesson before I was admitted into the hospital on the 9th of May 2014. I was not able to do any work from that date until I got discharged from hospital in week 6 of the due date).
